Final Drawing 2 - Figure Drawing
This drawing took 20 minutes to make using a 6b pencil, foreshortening is happening with the left arm at the back going behind the right leg, also with the left leg going behind the right leg. the figure has nice balance resting on the buttocks and the legs resting on the table, the figure has nice posture while the figure leans forward and both legs placed nicely so you get foreshortening. a strong sun light hit the front of the figure so nice shading came towards the back of the figure and shadows was cast from the arms onto the chest area.
the facial area could of done with more detail, the buttocks needed more detail as well as they dont look squished on the table which would happen when the figures sat down, the arms also look like stumps which could have fingers instead.

Final Drawing 1 - Still Life Composition
This drawing took 2 hours and 30 minutes, the pencil used was a 4b pencil. the object were placed several times to make sure there was no orphaned objects and no objects kissing, the vantage point I choose you got a real sense of depth in the objects on the chopping board as some look like there behind others and some look like there closer to the viewer. the objects were placed so the viewer can follow the objects around the scene without coming to a dead end. this drawings focal point is the big kettle on the left which has nice shading and reflectivity, implied lines are happening in the image as the viewer can easily move from object to object without coming to a dead end. its positioned on the rule of thirds so the viewer isn't looking in the middle of the drawing. the proportions on the middle cup aren't correct as it was a bit smaller than the cup on the right but in the image its the same size and there's a bit of spaces at the bottom right of the chopping board which could of been filled better.
Week 12 - Posture & pose
This drawing took 10 minutes to drawing using a 6b pencil, the figure has nice posture as she leans to one side while the figures legs face the other way, the figure balances nicely on the table using the leg, arms and buttocks to balance the body. foreshortening is happening in the legs and the arm at the back resting on the table. the buttons are nicely squished on the table because of gravity putting the weight on the buttocks. the back has a clear curve from the buttocks. the arms and legs are stumps as there was a 10 minute time limit.
the face needs more detail and the proportions of the top half of the body seem to be too big compared to the legs. shading would of made the drawing more appealing to the viewer, the table isn't finished do the image looks like its floating.

Week 11 - Muscles
This drawing took 15 minutes to make with hard pastels, the figure has posture as the figure shows nice curves bending slightly, there was a nice shadow cast from the right arm going across the chest and slightly onto the left arm. the chest had muscle where the ribs are and near the neck. the biceps stuck out so I could draw a nice curve there. I think more muscle could of been added in 15 minutes and maybe the arms are a little out of proportion but apart from that it doesn't look bad.
15 minute drawing of a figures legs, the left leg shows nice muscle going down the bottom of the leg, both of the legs have nice curves showing the muscle they also both have nice shading as the light was cast on the back of the legs. same with this drawing I think more muscle should of been added for a 15 minute drawing.
